First harvest of fish
Mutemwa had their first harvest of fish at the beginning of 2020, from the man-made ponds built at the care centre overseen by Fr Tigere and the team. It is so important that the care centre can be run as self-sufficiently as possible. It provides jobs for the local community, food for the patients and pride in all that they produce.
Refurbishment of bathrooms
With a very generous donation from Peter, we could refurbish the bathrooms at the care centre for the patients. They have been fully tiled on the walls and flooring and have been done amazingly well by the team.
Astra Paint
The company Astra paints, donated a huge amount of paint and labour to paint the outside of the clinic, kitchen block, chapel and patients blocks at the Care Centre. We are hugely grateful to their support and the people who gave up their time to do the work.
First Lady of Zimbabwe, Auxillia Mnangagwa donation
The President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s wife, Auxillia, First Lady of Zimbabwe very generously made a large donation to the community of maize, seeds etc during the Covid 19 isolation period, which we are really grateful for.
